Interesting things can be heard when one walks past a market in Sofia. What does life teach us? Well, sitting on a bench in a market, a woman said to her friend…
Her son-in-law had a company. He managed somehow, but he didn't complain. He was from a small town, but the municipality often awarded public contracts. And he decided to participate. The amount of the auction was about a million to fix the road. But the order did not go through a ministry or state agency, because there things were “parcelled”. Understand that everything is known even before the public order is released. However, there were still some that could be released just like that on general grounds and the auction could be conducted normally. Whoever won.
Her brother-in-law decided to participate and submitted the documents. And won't you, in a few days – the date for the auction has not yet arrived, his phone rings and man X wants a meeting. They arrange a meeting and man X comes. Then comes the pesky hoo, hoo, how's business going, etc. The grandmother's son-in-law complains, but not too much, that he somehow pushes life.
Suddenly, man X tells him that there is a good chance that his company will win the order (interestingly, man X knows everything about his company) because he works correctly, pays taxes, has no liabilities, has the resources to handle the project. The conversation is going well, but at one point man X says that to make all this happen he can help, then hits him on meetup that since he was going on an island vacation, he wants 100 acres.
Just kidding.
- And my son-in-law – cries the grandmother, hiccups. – What 100 acres, what an island, isn't it a matter of public order…
And then man X told him – laughing again that this is the new password. Because he is not one of the old ones, but one of the new and good ones who will go to an island, so 100 acres of the island means 100,000 BGN. Don't be surprised.
- Ah, said my son-in-law – continues the grandmother. – Emi, I'll think about it.
And while he was thinking, the public order passed, and the son-in-law did not win. So, dear businessmen. If someone asks you for 30, 50 or 100 acres of the island, don't look dumb. You already know why. It's just not known where the island is, but that's a detail… Islands a lot.
One can learn such things by walking in the markets and sitting on the benches. Still interesting…
