The obsession with the technology of reporting election results (by the PP-DB) shows the exhausted ideological basis of political parties. Technological changes will not increase trust in the political system and election procedures, respectively, nor trust in political parties. If election technology works for the opposing camp (for GERB and company), this is also a symptom of the ideological impotence of political subjects - the democratic race is won through election technology, not through an ideological clash. In other words, our democracy is simply a technology for reporting election results, some master the technological process, while others do not, which is why the disputes are in this field.
If our political elite understands democracy in this way, as a struggle for the method of technological reporting of election results, then the problem is not in the election technology, but in the political elite.
Elections should perform a selective function - to provide the opportunity for people to select significant political proposals and representatives who are capable of defending them.
If elections do not perform a selective function, because there are no significant political proposals, and one of the reasons for the election results is purely technological, then the problem is not in the technology. We have a political elite that does not produce significant competing ideas, but competes in the field of pure procedure (how the technology for reporting election results should work).
The problem is in the political elite, not in the technology. We need to change the political elite, not the technology of broadcasting it.
