Today, the European Commission and the European Central Bank /ECB/ gave a positive assessment of Bulgaria's progress towards economic convergence with the eurozone. Simply put, the country can now be part of the eurozone.
Regardless of what political and emotional words will be said on this topic, the truth is that in this way Bulgaria is already an equal member of the European Union.
Every Bulgarian is equal to every German, Frenchman, Italian, etc. This is an undeniable success. Bulgaria is where it belongs, despite the fears that various people are trying to instill and the outright nonsense and speculation that various political parties with a dubious shelf life are circulating.
I remember how such ridiculous debates were held when we entered the currency board or when the lev was denominated, and they turned out to be completely meaningless. And it will turn out that way now. Bulgaria will be better and Bulgarians will live better. The truth is that a country does not move forward with fear, but moves forward with reason and with its head proudly held high.
