"Yesterday produced a piece of news that was the most important result of all – it is not important what the decision of the coalition will be, nor of the party holding the mandate, there is a fourth party on which it depends whether a government will be stable or not." This was stated by Vice President Iliyana Yotova, commenting on the results of the third vote of no confidence against the “Zhelyazkov“ cabinet, BGNES reported.
“What was said under the breath, there will be a government until Mr. Peevski says so“, the Vice President specified.
Yotova commented on the tension of yesterday's protest, organized against the adoption of the euro by “Vazrazhdane“. “I do not think that this way of protest is normal. Both protesters, police officers, and all Bulgarian citizens are on one side of the barricade, because both this vote and the discussion showed that the problems of financial policy and the situation in the country are much more serious than the three and a half hours of discussion that were held“, she said.
Iotova expected the revenues to be collected at a much faster pace. “I have the feeling that the entire country is in one expectation for something good to happen, and it is not happening“.
Regarding a referendum on the euro, she believes that “Bulgarian citizens should be asked. My position from then to this day remains unchanged. Every day prices are higher, people's concerns are normal.“
