4: 3! Galatasaray defeated Trabzonspor with an own goal in the 98th minute VIDEO - 1

Galatasaray maintained its 6-point lead over Fenerbahce after a dramatic victory over Trabzonspor, reported sportal.bg.

The big derby from the 16th round of the Turkish Super League ended 4:3 in favor of the Istanbul giant, who achieved success with an own goal in the eighth minute of added time.

The hosts took the lead early on with a goal by Dries Mertens after a nice pass from Yunus Akgun. Two Trabzonspor misses followed, before Ozan Tofan equalized with a header in the 17th minute. In the middle of the half, a brilliant shot by Yunus Akgun from outside the penalty area found the proud right corner of the goal - 2:1.

Trabzonspor equalized once again in the 51st minute, when Simon Banza stole the ball to the byline and shot from a small angle to Fenando Muslera. Just two minutes later, Ozan Tufan was on target with a header for the guests from Trabzon.

Galatasaray's coach immediately brought Michy Batshuayi into play, who scored a penalty for a controversial foul on Mertens and the score became 3:3. The end was truly dramatic. Both teams missed clear chances, and in the 98th minute, Ali Sahin Yilmaz from Trabzonspor scored an own goal and made Galatasaray fans explode with joy.

On the other pole is the mood among Besiktas supporters. Their team lost 1:2 to total underdogs Adana Demirspor and remained in sixth place in the standings, 14 points behind Galatasaray. The "Black Eagles" have the same asset as Stanimir Stoilov-led Göztepe.

Adana Demirspor started the season with a penalty of minus 3 points, and until last night had two draws and 12 losses from their first 14 matches. Against Besiktas, the team surpassed itself and led 2:0 at half-time with goals from Yusuf Barasi ((31'39;) and Abat Aimbetov (39'39;). The guests reduced the deficit through Ali Musrati in the 72nd minute, but a red card for Tayyip Sanic prevented them from at least getting a draw.
