CSKA CEO Radoslav Zlatkov clarified the team's transfer policy this summer, sportal.bg reported.
The manager said that previous mistakes will not be repeated and players with questionable qualities will not be taken for a kilo.
“We will not make transfers for a kilo. We cannot afford old mistakes and attract players at a high price with questionable qualities. The goal is to take the right amount, but very high-level players. Financing for a very high-quality selection is provided. The positions are determined by the head coaches. Our scouting level is conducting research. We have big names - Metodi Tomanov, Radi Zdravkov and others. They make suggestions for players, which we subsequently offer. Unfortunately, for players even from second leagues, we give significantly better offers than other teams, but they choose something else. We have cases where they choose other championships with a 30-40% better offer. We cannot afford to lower the criteria”, said Zlatkov.
