Victor Basarde is the new head coach of Beroe and will lead the team in the 2025/26 season, Topsport reported. The news was announced by journalist Emilio Gonzalez from "La Voz de Galicia".
The current coach Plamen Lipenski will remain part of the team of the new coach of Zaralia.
Basarde has previously been a coach in Greece, Lithuania and Latvia. The last team he led was Melilla. For a large part of his career, he worked as an assistant or in various Spanish schools. Much of his experience comes from his time with Murcia and Lorca.
In 2009, Basadre was part of Unai Emery's team at Valencia, and in 2020, the 55-year-old specialist took over at Volos, where he had previously been an assistant coach.
In the 2021/22 season, he led the Lithuanian Suduva, and then headed the Latvian Spartaks (Jurmala).
Basadre also led the Cypriot Doxa (Katokopias), as well as the Spanish Linense and Melilla.
