Georgiev and Kivel missed out on medals at the European Junior Canoeing Championships

Nationals Kristian Georgiev and David Kivel missed out on medals on the third day of the European Junior Canoeing Championships for girls and boys, and boys and girls under 23 in Pitesti (Romania), BTA reports.

Georgiev finished ninth (last) in the final of the 1000-meter single kayak among juniors with a time of 3:46.279 minutes, 8.124 seconds behind the winner.
In the same distance, but among canoeists under 18, Kivel came seventh with a time of 4:11.969 minutes, 10.004 behind the champion.

In the afternoon session today, the Bulgarian representatives will register participation in nine semifinals in the various disciplines of the European Championship.
