Urban mobility is changing with each passing day, and German startup XYTE offers a bold and unconventional solution. Their debut model, called One, is an original hybrid between an electric scooter and a car, designed to meet the needs of modern city dwellers.
The new XYTE One will go into production from November and is now available for order at a price of 10,750 euros, reports the Autoevolution website. With this proposal, the company aims to provide an affordable and efficient vehicle for moving in busy city traffic.
The XYTE One is a single-seater three-wheeled vehicle that is distinguished by its compact dimensions: 2.17 m long and only 79 cm wide. It has a roof, but lacks doors and side windows, which emphasizes its hybrid nature. Thanks to its aluminum body, the vehicle weighs only 206 kg.
The cabin features an unusual combination of a motorcycle-style steering wheel and a full-size car seat. The instrument panels are displayed on a 10-inch display, while a connection to a smartphone is provided for the multimedia system. Behind the seat there is a small trunk with a volume of 72 liters, and the vehicle's payload is 124 kg. The equipment also includes LED headlights, Bluetooth and ABS.
The XYTE One is powered by an electric motor with a power of 26 hp and 55 Nm of torque. This allows the tricycle to reach a maximum speed of 99 km/h, and for maneuvering there is also a reverse gear with a limit of 10 km/h. On a single battery charge, the XYTE One can travel up to 112 km. Charging to 80% takes only 2 hours. The model is equipped with a double wishbone front suspension and disc brakes on all wheels.
The XYTE One is a bold attempt to fill the niche between classic scooters and full-fledged cars, offering a compromise between affordability, compactness and weather protection. Whether it will be a hit on the market remains to be seen. See more in the video.
