Lamborghini has bid farewell to one of the most unique supercars in its history - the single-seater Egoista, created in 2013 to celebrate the brand's 50th anniversary. The unique car, which was previously kept in the company's museum, has now become part of a private collection, for which the buyer paid $117 million.
The car was designed as a concept and was not intended for sale. Its design was inspired by jet fighters, and the main feature is a single-seater cockpit with a glass dome that rises, providing access to the cabin. The anti-radar coating and active aerodynamics make the Egoista even more unique.
The heart of the supercar is a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine with a power of 600 hp, mounted on a chassis from a Lamborghini Gallardo. Innovative solutions in aerodynamics and construction make the Egoista a true engineering masterpiece that has always impressed supercar connoisseurs.
The move of the Egoista to a private collection marks the end of one of the most exclusive chapters in Lamborghini's history, leaving the car with the status of a legend among automotive art.
