The Russian government intends to introduce a ban on diesel exports to suppliers that do not produce the fuel by the end of the year. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, quoted by "Reuters" and the "Interfax" agency, reports News.bg.
He specified that the cabinet is also considering extending the current ban on gasoline exports - also until the end of the year.
Novak noted that these measures will allow the Russian government "to additionally supply the market with petroleum products".
The latest extension of the ban, which was first imposed in February, limited the export of motor fuels until September 30, while for non-producers the deadline remained in force until October 31.
