On Thursday evening, a powerful explosion was recorded at a Chevron refinery located in Los Angeles County.
The incident in El Segundo, located near Manhattan Beach, caused a serious fire that has been active since about 9:30 p.m.
The causes of the explosion remain unknown at this time. It is not known at this time if there are any injuries.
Although no evacuation order has been issued, authorities have recommended that residents of the affected area remain in their homes as a precautionary measure.
Chevron has not yet released an official comment on the case.
