Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow yesterday, state news agency Xinhua reported today, BTA reports.

Li stressed that China's determination to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia has always been consistent. He conveyed to the Russian president heartfelt greetings and best wishes from Chinese President Xi Jinping, noting that the strategic partnership and coordination between the two countries are at a high level under the leadership of the two leaders.

Since the beginning of this year, Presidents Xi and Putin have met twice, setting the direction for the further development of China-Russia relations, Li added.

Yesterday, the Chinese premier also met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, reaffirming Beijing's readiness to deepen cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture and investment.

According to Reuters, China and Russia announced a "boundless strategic partnership" just days before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin have met more than 40 times in the past decade.
