A US Air Force fighter jet was scrambled on November 29 after a civilian plane entered restricted airspace over US President Donald Trump's Palm Beach, Florida, residence, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said.
“An F-16 fighter jet intercepted a civilian plane that violated temporary restricted airspace over Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday afternoon“, the statement said. “The plane was safely removed.“
The incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. Eastern time. The command noted that several similar violations had occurred earlier in the week.
Trump has been in Florida since November 25. He is expected to return to Washington on November 30.
