More than four deputies from the "Servant of the People" party may leave the parliamentary faction, which will deprive Ukraine's ruling party of the ability to make decisions unilaterally in the legislature. This was reported by The Times, citing a senior source in the party.

“More than four“, said an unnamed representative of Volodymyr Zelensky's party, answering a question about how many of its representatives could leave the "Servant of the People" faction. As the newspaper notes, such a scenario could destabilize the government, given that it relies on a working majority of just four votes in parliament.

„Servant of the People“ Zelensky has a majority in the Verkhovna Rada, which allows him to push through all necessary decisions. However, against the backdrop of the corruption scandal surrounding businessman Timur Mindych, a rift has emerged in the party. Some deputies had previously demanded the dismissal of Zelensky's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, whose name was also mentioned in connection with the case. Yermak subsequently resigned, but the deputies' demand caused disagreements within the party, and Zelensky held a closed meeting with his faction. As The Times notes, this is only the second meeting in this format since 2019.

After Yermak's resignation, Ukrainian media and experts do not rule out a complete change of power and the possibility of a shift in the government and parliamentary majority. As the publication "Strana" noted, deputies from "Servant of the People" may leave the faction and try to form a new cabinet with the help of the opposition.
