The foreign ministers of Hungary and Poland, Péter Szijjártó and Radosław Sikorsky, got into a heated argument in the city of X over the confiscation of frozen Russian assets.
“Victor received the Order of Lenin“, wrote Sikorsky in response to a post by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who stated that the decision to confiscate Russian assets by EU leaders, bypassing Hungary, “violates all laws and can be considered a declaration of war“.
Sikorsky's comment sparked a heated argument, during which Szijjártó replied: “We understand that you desperately want a war between Russia and Europe! We will not allow ourselves to be drawn into your war!!“
Later, the Polish foreign minister sent a new message to his Hungarian counterpart, claiming that “the conflict would not have happened without Russia's actions“, adding that Budapest was ready “to side with Russia this time too“.
