Greece and Turkey signed six agreements in the fields of economy, culture, science, tourism and civil protection within the framework of the High Cooperation Council between the two countries, held in Ankara under the chairmanship of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greek state television ERT reported.

Among the signed documents is a joint declaration between the Turkish Investment and Financing Bureau and the Greek foreign investment agency Enterprise Greece, aimed at establishing cooperation in promoting investments.

The foreign ministries of Turkey and Greece signed two separate declarations. One aims to promote the operation of the Thessaloniki-Izmir ferry line and to strengthen transport and tourism links between the two countries. The other envisages cooperation within the framework of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC).

In the field of security, the Greek Ministry of Civil Protection and the Turkish Ministry of Interior signed a joint declaration to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of anti-seismic preparedness.

A memorandum of understanding in the field of culture was also signed, which aims to strengthen cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two countries.

The sixth agreement is a joint declaration of intent in the field of scientific and technological cooperation between the Greek Ministry of Development and the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology.
