The Russian rock group "Picnik" gave a concert today in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack near Moscow, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
The event, which took place in the "Oktyabarsky" concert hall in St. Petersburg, began with a minute of silence and ended with the song "There, at the very end of the Earth". During the last performance, the hall was illuminated by hundreds of lights.
"Our city, which has experienced a blockade and terrorist attacks, understands better than anyone the pain of losing relatives and loved ones. The musicians who took the stage today demonstrated our common spirit in words and deeds - terrorists will never break or intimidate Russians. We will be stronger and braver," said St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov.
The concert took place under increased security measures.
On the day of the terrorist attack on the "Crocus City Hall", the band "Picnic" was scheduled to play there. The musicians decided to honor the victims of the attack by dedicating today's concert in St. Petersburg to them.
The Russian Ministry of Emergencies published today the full list of those killed in the attack. It contains the names of 143 people, including five children.
