Recently, Armenia hinted that it may leave the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a military alliance of former Soviet republics under the auspices of Russia.

Armenia boycotted the CSTO summit at the end of 2023, and Pashinyan accused the organization of failing to fulfill its obligations.
