The leader of "Hamas" Ismail Haniya denied today that his sons, who were killed in an Israeli airstrike this week, were fighters of the Palestinian Islamist movement, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"The interests of the Palestinian people come first," he told the agency when asked if their killing would affect the negotiations.
"We strive to reach an agreement, but the occupation still delays taking action and avoids responding to demands" us, Hania said in connection with the ongoing negotiations for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages held by "Hamas" in exchange for the release of Palestinians from Israeli prisons.
