Ukraine's defense forces said they intercepted a Russian guided air missile today X-59/69 and 25 kamikaze drones, Ukrinform reported, citing information from the Ukrainian Air Force, quoted by BTA.
Last night, Russia launched an attack on Odesa region using two air-guided missiles launched from the Black Sea region, as well as 29 strike drones from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region.
Ukrainian forces managed to intercept one of the missiles and 25 of the drones. The majority of enemy air targets were shot down over Odesa region.
Air defense is also active in other regions of the country, including Nikolaev, Kirovograd and Ternopil regions.
Despite the successful actions of the defense forces, the attack on Odessa resulted in the destruction of homes, cars and other private property.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the attack, one person died and at least ten were injured, including a child, Ukrinform reported.
