Three skiers died in an avalanche in the Alps. The incident took place in the area of the Austrian resort of Sölden, NOVA reported.
The victims were part of a group of 17 people traveling from the Netherlands.
They were climbing to a mountain hut, accompanied by four local guides. The avalanche carried away four people, two of whom died on the spot and one was taken to hospital. His condition was stable.
The incident took place at an altitude of about 2,500 meters, where, despite the warming weather, the snow cover is quite thick, commented the local mountain service.
