An unknown person armed with a knife tried to attack Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint near the West Bank city of Hebron, after which his accomplice began to shoot at the soldiers, "terrorists were neutralized" with return fire. This was announced by the press service of the Israeli Defense Forces.
According to her, as a result of the incident, no soldiers were injured.
As reported by newspaper The Jerusalem Post, one of the attackers was killed by return fire, the second was wounded.
Additional forces have been sent to this area, the army press service added.
