Russia is attacking mainly in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhovsky directions, said Oleksandr Sirsky - 1

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , General Oleksandr Sirsky, stated that the main efforts of the Russian assault groups were concentrated in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhovsky directions in the Donetsk region. The Russian army is trying to move towards these cities from the settlements of Ocheretino and Marinka. He stated this in a post on Facebook, quoted by News.bg.

Syrsky emphasized that Russia continues active offensive actions along the entire front line, but the most assaults were registered in these two directions. "Here the enemy has concentrated the largest number of his assault units from the composition of eight shock brigades," wrote Sirski.

After visiting the front line, Sirski assesses the situation in other areas as well:

In the area of Chasov Yar, an important settlement for Ukraine, located near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, as well as around Klescheevka and Kalinovka, fighting continues. "The adversary is trying to conquer these settlements in order to expand the geography of its offensive towards Kramatorsk and Slavyansk," wrote Sirski.

In Luhansk Oblast, the Russian army continues its assaults on Belogorovka, which Sirsky calls unsuccessful. "The enemy strives for Seversk from two directions, but retreats each time, leaving corpses of his soldiers behind," claims Sirski.

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army is trying to create a so-called "security belt". "In Volchansk, the enemy got stuck, despite the attracted forces and resources, which he constantly replenishes at the expense of units from other directions," says Sirski.

In the Zaporizhzhya direction the Russian army advanced in the areas of the villages of Staromayorskoye and Rabotino, but "actually without success," writes Sirski. These two settlements were liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the summer offensive in 2023, and now the Russian military is trying to bring them back under their control.

Syrsky also announced that Russian and Ukrainian troops continue fighting for a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper in the village of Kinki in Kherson Oblast. However, there are no significant changes, according to him.
