The draft communiqué from the conference for peace in Ukraine, which is being held this weekend in Switzerland, calls on respecting the territorial integrity of Ukraine and mentions the Russian war against Kiev, Reuters reported, citing BTA, which has seen the draft of the document.

The final version of the text will be discussed today. The draft seen by Reuters is dated June 13.

The Swiss government, which is hosting the forum, expressed hope that the final version of the declaration will be supported by all participants in the meeting unanimously.

The draft document also calls for the Zaporozhye NPP to be returned to Ukrainian control and to guarantee Kiev's access to ports on the Sea of Azov.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said in Bürgenstock that he will make peace proposals to Russia after they are validated by the international community, AFP reported, quoted by BTA.

Kenya, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have already expressed regret that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not invited to participate in the forum.

"This summit could have been more focussed on results if the other party to the conflict, Russia, was present in this room," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.

But the majority of about 90 countries attending the forum expressed support for Ukraine and called for a just peace based on the UN charter.

"When the plan of action is put on the table, accepted by all and transparent to the peoples, then it will be communicated to the representatives of Russia so that we can really end the war," the Ukrainian president promised at the opening of the two-day summit.

Swiss President Viola Amherd called on the international community to prepare the ground for direct talks between the two warring countries.

A second summit is already being considered, which Kiev hopes will include a Russian delegation.

"The next conference should not be held without Russia. We must speak to the enemy," said the President of Slovenia, Našda Pirc Musar.

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, called for an expansion of the circle of countries around the negotiating table.

"Ukraine has given indications that it thinks this war should end through negotiations, and that includes negotiations with Russia," White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters. "Now, from Ukraine's point of view, it's about being in the best possible position on the battlefield to be in the best possible position at the negotiating table," he added.

"Together we are taking the first steps towards a just peace", the Ukrainian president said, adding that the world is stronger than Vladimir Putin.

Today the forum will discuss three topics in the working groups of the summit - nuclear security, freedom of navigation and food security and humanitarian aspects, in particular the fate of Ukrainian children deported to Russia.

Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris called it child theft and said he expected it to intensify as the summer approaches. Ukraine wants Russia to return nearly 20,000 minors deported or forcibly relocated to Russia.

At the meeting in Switzerland, the US is represented by Vice President Kamala Harris, who has pledged more than $1.5 billion in aid to Ukraine, mainly for humanitarian aid and support for the energy sector.

Before the forum in Switzerland, the topic of Ukraine was also among the leading topics of the G-7 summit in Italy.
