At least 10 people, including children, were shot in a suburban water park in the Detroit area in the USA, BTA reported.
The shooting weapon was found at the scene, the police said. The attacker is a man who got out of a car in front of the water park "Brookland Plaza" in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and fired about 30 shots with a 9mm Glock semi-automatic handgun that he reloaded several times, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said at a news conference.
Rochester Hills is located about 50 km north of Detroit. In neighboring Oxford Township, also in Oakland, there was a mass school shooting in 2021 when student Ethan Crumbley, then 15, killed four students and six students and a teacher at a local high school.
The assailant of today's crime is being sought, but police believe they have him pinned down in a nearby house.
