The work to create a buffer zone in Kharkiv Oblast will not stop until Russia secures its regions for shelling. This was stated by the official representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov.
He pointed out that Moscow sees the countries of the collective West increasing tensions around the conflict, this cannot happen without a response.
On June 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was forced to push the front line towards Kharkiv to reduce terrorist attacks on Belgorod.
On the same day, Putin said that Russia has always sought peace and is ready to sit down at the negotiating table as early as tomorrow. According to him, this will become possible when Kiev withdraws its troops from the regions of the Russian Federation and officially renounces its intentions to integrate into NATO. The president emphasized that Russia is again making an offer for real peace, but if Kiev and the West refuse, then the responsibility for the ongoing conflict rests solely with them.
