The Kremlin sensed a change, the sentiments of the West are very serious. The West is no longer afraid of nuclear weapons and “red lines” of Vladimir Putin.

This was stated by the Russian opposition political scientist Andrey Piontkovsky to Espreso.TV. In his words, the Russian president has become a laughing stock with his constant nuclear blackmail and drawing new “red lines” about Moscow, which no one takes seriously.

„There was one remarkable statement by Macron: when Putin started threatening him with nuclear weapons, he calmly noted that France also had nuclear weapons. The West stopped responding to Putin's nuclear blackmail. It just became funny," said Piontkovski.

Another example is the recent statement by British Foreign Secretary David Cameron regarding Russian concerns about strikes on Russian territory. He stated that there would be no attacks on Russian territory if the Kremlin withdrew its troops from Ukraine.

According to Piontkovski, the last “red line” will be the deployment of Western pilots in Ukraine. “There are not so many Ukrainian pilots who are trained in the West. A hundred, or better, two hundred planes in the sky of Ukraine will determine the outcome of the war in a few weeks, because with their help Ukraine will finally expel the Russian group from Crimea, which will lead to the political collapse of Putin's regime, Piontkovsky suggested.< /p>

He argued that the West must accept this decisive step. Putin understands very well that he has lost the war in Ukraine and his days are numbered. “Putin has realized that he is not the master of the world and now he has to hold on to power in a country that lost the war,” Piontkowski said.
