Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described Israel's attack on Lebanon as inhumane and called for an investigation.
„Another glaring example of terrorist methods as a means to achieve political goals is the inhumane attack on Lebanon by turning civilian technology into lethal weapons. This crime must be immediately investigated”, he said, speaking at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The minister stressed that the US knew about the preparation of an Israeli attack with explosive devices in Lebanon. “It is now impossible to ignore numerous publications in the media, including in Europe and here in the United States, which show one or another intervention and the slightest awareness of Washington regarding the preparation of this terrorist attack,”, Lavrov said.
„We understand that the Americans always deny everything and will do everything to cover up the emerging facts, as they did in response to irrefutable evidence of their participation in the terrorist attacks against the “Nord Stream”, the minister added.
