Italy: We will force Russia to surrender - 1

If Russia does not agree to the terms of a peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine, it will be forced to surrender. This was said by the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, at the peace summit in Switzerland, UNIAN news agency reported.

According to her, the international community should form minimum conditions under which peace can be concluded. "Protecting Ukraine means protecting the world's system of rules. It is important to unite all efforts to protect Ukraine. If Russia does not agree to the terms, we will force it to surrender," Meloni pointed out.

The Italian Prime Minister also assured Ukraine that it can count on Italy's support in the future.

Russia and its leaders are "not ready for a just peace", Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said yesterday, at the end of the peace conference for Ukraine in the Swiss resort of "Burgenstock", which gave strong support for the territorial integrity of his country. reported France Press. "We have to do our job, not think about Russia, but do what we have to do. Currently, Russia and its leaders are not ready for a just peace. This is a fact," said the Ukrainian president.

Russia can negotiate for peace "as early as tomorrow if it withdraws from our territory," Zelensky noted, after Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was ready for talks. However, the Russian leader set conditions that are unacceptable to Kiev and would be tantamount to capitulation and abandonment of territories recognized as Ukrainian by the international community. Putin demanded that Kiev give up NATO as well as 1/5 of its territory. The Russian president deliberately set these conditions before the start of the conference in Switzerland.
