Thailand's Senate approves marriage equality bill, positioning Thailand as the third Asian nation after Nepal and Taiwan to recognize same-sex marriage. The decision was supported by an overwhelming majority, with 130 out of 152 senators voting "for", BTA reports.
The bill awaits King Rama Ten's signature and will come into force 120 days after its publication in the Government Gazette of Thailand.
