Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the start of his talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang that the two parties will sign a "fundamental" in his words, a document that will trace the path of relations between Moscow and Pyongyang for many years to come, the agencies reported, BTA reported.
"A document has been prepared that will be the basis of our relations for decades to come,", the Russian leader said, noting that Russia and North Korea have made "great progress" in strengthening bilateral ties as a result of the North Korean leader's visit to Russia last year.
Putin also extended an invitation to Kim to visit Moscow. "I am glad to meet you again," the Russian president addressed the North Korean leader. "I hope our next meeting will be in Russia, in Moscow."
Putin has hosted Kim twice in Russia. This happened during two visits of the leader of the DPRK to the Russian Far East in April 2019 and September 2023.
