The decision of the state and political leadership of North Macedonia not to use the "constitutional name of the country in public statements” constitutes "egregious misconduct” of the Prespa Agreement, stressed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Giorgos Gerapetritis, reports the electronic edition of the Athens daily Kathimerini, quoted by Focus.
"Respecting international law and international agreements is the basis of international peace and security and does not include their selective application”, Gerapetris commented in Luxembourg before a meeting with his colleagues from the European Union.
A day earlier, the new Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristiyan Mitskoski, described as "shameful” the inclusion of the name "Northern“ in the constitutional name of the country.
