The southern part of Odesa region, so-called Bessarabia, was attacked by drones from the Black Sea. The sirens were activated last night at 22:48, BTA reported.

"Drones are moving south in the region - in the Bolgradsky, Belgorodnestrovsky and Izmailsky regions,", announced the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, in the "Telegram" application.

Bulgarians in Odesa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. In the city of Odesa itself live 50-60 thousand Bulgarians. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the mentioned regions - Bolgradsky, Izmailsky and Belgorod-Dnestrovsky.

In addition, the President of Ukraine stressed that it is crucial that the main European organizations protect the European way of life and represent Europe as an example of the rule of law.

"I wish the new Secretary General success in all his endeavors during his mandate," added Zelensky. Berse has stated that Ukraine will be his primary mission when it comes to all initiatives to support and protect Kyiv, Ukrinform recalls.
