High-ranking Iranian Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Air Force, threatened Tehran's arch-enemy Israel with a new massive missile attack, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
According to state media, he made his harsh statement at an event in Tehran yesterday.
A few months ago, Iran and Israel were on the brink of a major regional war. On April 13 of this year The Revolutionary Guard fired hundreds of drones and rockets at Israel, DPA recalls. Hajizadeh has now said that he hopes for the possibility of a second such operation. "I don't know how many missiles will be needed," he added.
The threat is likely related to recent tensions between Israel and Lebanon.
