A new reshuffle is being prepared in Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to fire Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, Ukrainska Pravda reported.
According to the publication's sources, Zelensky is not satisfied with his work and is “tired” from Schmigal's actions. “It shows in his attitude in meetings. "He doesn't even really listen to it anymore," one of the sources said.
Schmigal's resignation has already been discussed twice in the past two months. Several candidates are being considered for the post of Prime Minister, with the most likely being First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.
Denys Shmygal has been the Prime Minister of Ukraine since March 2020. After the full-scale invasion of the Russian army, Zelensky carried out several reshuffles in the upper echelons of the military and political leadership, including Defense Minister Reznikov and Commander-in-Chief ZSU Zaluzhny. It is said that Zelensky is not satisfied with the new commander-in-chief of the ZSU – Syriac.
