The Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection of Greece has warned citizens that a serious deterioration of the weather is expected today, the Greek publication “Kathimerini” reported, quoted from BTA.
Severe storms and thunderstorm activity are expected this morning in Halkidiki and neighboring areas. Later in the day, bad weather is also forecast to cover the regions of Phthiotis, Phocis and Boeotia in central Greece, as well as Attica, the regions of Corinthia and Argolis on the Peloponnese peninsula.
The Commission for Risk Assessment in an extraordinary meeting informed us about dangerous weather phenomena on Thursday, the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Vassilis Kikilias said last night. He announced that a meeting of the coordination body for civil protection is forthcoming in order to achieve the maximum level of preparedness.
