In the message of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to the American leader Joe Biden on the occasion of the Independence Day of the USA, Pashinyan said that Armenia is ready to raise the level of its relations with the USA to a strategic partnership in many areas, reports TASS, quoted by Focus.
"I am pleased to note that the commitment to further expand our cooperation in the areas of democratic reforms, strengthening economic and energy sustainability, justice, anti-corruption, security and other areas is reflected in the concept of raising the strategic dialogue between Armenia and the United States to the level of strategic partnership”, noted the head of the Armenian cabinet.
According to Pashinyan, Armenia attaches importance to the role of the US in the process of establishing peace in the South Caucasus and "deeply appreciates the US support for the sovereignty, independence, democracy, territorial integrity and inviolability of the borders of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with the Declaration of Alma-Ata since 1991
"I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm Armenia's commitment to the peace agenda and express confidence that our continued and strengthened partnership during this critical period will help create a peaceful and more prosperous future for our two countries and the region", the Armenian Prime Minister stated in his message.
