The Head of State Rumen Radev has sent a telegram to the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska, in which he congratulates her and the Macedonians on August 2 as a glorious date for the common history and the events of the Ilinden-Preobrazhen Uprising, transmits the Skopje electronic edition "Vo Centar", quoted by Focus.
He emphasized that Bulgaria is determined to work to establish good neighborly relations with North Macedonia.
"We, as the heirs of our ancestors, have a historical responsibility and duty to follow and fulfill the promises of our past, in the name of our common European future,” said in President Radev's greeting to the citizens of North Macedonia.< /p>
In his words, the self-sacrifice of the heroes of the Ilinden-Preobrazhen Uprising carries a memory that will forever bind Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia and their citizens.
"The high ideals of the uprising today are the basis of the values of a united Europe”, stressed Rumen Radev, saying that the common European future requires the necessary will and a sincere approach to the implementation of the Friendship and Good Neighbor Treaty.
