Five in one hit! Destruction of Rostov-on-Don will disable four more Russian submarines in the Black Sea - 1

The destruction of the submarine " ;Rostov on Don" shows Russia's inability to repair its submarines in the Black Sea, writes the Ukrainian military publication Defense Express.

According to analysts, today the Russians are unable to repair their submarines in the Black Sea. They draw attention to the fact that the main submarine repair plant in the region is the Sevastopol Marine Plant. Moreover, even this enterprise was not always able to carry out such work before - some submarines had to sail around Europe to undergo planned repairs at the Kronstadt marine plant.

According to analysts, today Russia has three more submarines from a similar project "Varshavyanka" in the Black Sea: B-265 "Krasnodar“, B-268 "Great Novgorod“ and B-271 "Kolpino”, as well as project "Halibut” B-871 "Alrosa“.

There is no way all these Russian submarines will leave the Black Sea since Turkey has closed the Bosphorus. Therefore, the only possible alternative is a ship repair plant in Novorossiysk, but he has never dealt with submarines. Moreover, even in Novorossiysk Bay, the Russians keep the submarines in a semi-submerged state. Also, shipbuilding and repair enterprises in Kerch are not suitable for such repairs.

Thus, Defense Express analysts note, for now all these Russian submarines remain without the possibility of full repair, since for this they must be put "under attack” in Sevastopol. And this despite the fact that all three submarines from the "Varshavyanka" project operate extremely actively and the frequency of their repair and maintenance is higher than peacetime standards.

In connection with the situation that has arisen, according to analysts, "the decommissioning of four Russian submarines is only a matter of time”.
