At least five explosions were heard late last night in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, where air raid sirens sounded, Reuters reported, citing a statement in "Telegram" of the local authorities, BTA reported.
Ukrainian air defense units intercepted Russian missiles fired at Kiev, the authorities added.
New explosions were heard about half an hour after the initial explosions.
The head of the Kyiv military administration, Sergiy Popko, announced that according to preliminary data, there was no information about casualties or damage.
Ukrainian air defense units were operating in Kyiv and in the city's surroundings, city authorities reported in "Telegram".
