The possibility of searching by aircraft for the Mi-8 helicopter with 19 passengers and 3 members of the crew, which disappeared from radar on August 31, is now impossible due to heavy rains and crosswinds.
This was announced by the Minister of Emergencies in the region Sergey Lebedev to TASS.
„There is no visibility, there is a crosswind, so taking off a helicopter is impossible at the moment,” he said.
As Kamchathydromet reported to TASS, bad weather will affect the southern part of the peninsula at least until the end of the day on September 1. It will also be cloudy and rainy on September 2.
