An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale was registered on the territory of the Philippine island of Mindanao on the 18 :04 local time (13:04 Bulgarian time), shows a reference on the official website of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), quoted by BTA.
The epicenter of the quake was 139 kilometers east of the city of Butuan, with a population of nearly 310,000, and 51 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The depth of the earthquake was only one kilometer.
There are no reports of injuries or damage.
