Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya stated that the vision for an "Asian NATO", which the new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba insists on, is an idea that should be considered in the medium and long term, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"I think this is a forward-looking idea, but it should be considered in the medium and long term," he told reporters in Tokyo.
