Iranian foreign minister Abbas Aragchi spoke on the phone with his colleagues from Europe immediately after Iran's missile attack on Israel, the world media reported, citing Iranian state media, quoted by BTA.

According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, Aragchi spoke with German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock, as well as with his colleagues from Great Britain, France and other countries. He informed them that the rocket attack against Israel had ended.

„However, if the Zionist regime takes retaliatory actions, our response will be even more severe”, the minister said. He stressed that Iran does not want escalation, but is not afraid of war.

Iran has also sent a warning to Washington through Switzerland that the US should not intervene after the missile attack on Israel.

„Switzerland has been sent a warning asking them to convey to the Americans that this is our legal right of self-defense and we have no intention of continuing. We also warned the US to stay away and not interfere," Aragchi said, quoted by Tasnim agency.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) last night said it had fired 200 rockets at Israel. The attack was carried out in response to the killings of the leader of “Hamas” Ismail Haniya, of the leader of “Hezbollah” Hassan Nasrallah and an Iranian general, KGIR added.

According to initial estimates by the Israeli army, the number of rockets fired was around 180.

According to Iran, the attack was aimed at three Israeli air bases and the headquarters of Israel's Mossad foreign intelligence service.
