The Israeli military said in a statement early this morning that they liquidated the head of the network of the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" in the city of Tulkarm on the West Bank, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

In the statement, the military identified him as Zahi Yasser Abd al Razek Ufi.

The strike by the Israeli army on Tulkarm was carried out late last night, the military added.

The leaders of the Group of Seven countries have again expressed their deep concern over the crisis in the Middle East and called on everyone in the region to "act responsibly" and restrained, while confirming their support for Israel's security, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

"We, the leaders of the G7, are deeply concerned about the deterioration of the situation in the Middle East ... We unequivocally reaffirm our commitment to Israel's security,'' they said in a statement released by the British Foreign Office. Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"The dangerous cycle of attacks and retaliation risks fueling an uncontrollable escalation in the Middle East, which is in nobody's interest. That is why we call on everyone in the region to act responsibly and with restraint," the statement added.

Along with Great Britain, the G-7 also includes the USA, Canada, Italy, France, Germany and Japan.
