Today the Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu arrives on an official visit to the Republic of Moldova. He is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Marian Nyakšu, Minister of Economy Štefan-Radu Oprja and Minister of Agriculture Florin Barbu, the government press service announced, as quoted by BTA.
„I am going to Chisinau to confirm Romania's stable and unequivocal support for the Republic of Moldova at all levels. We will continue to support the European integration of the country and the implementation of the agreement for 100 million euros, which covers projects in energy, infrastructure and transport. All this is for the benefit of the citizens on both sides of the Prut“, Çolaku stated before his visit.
During his visit, Cholaku will meet with Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recan, and the two will participate in a handover ceremony of school vans donated by Romania. The program also includes meetings with the President of Moldova, Maya Sandu, and the Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grossu.
As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will also visit the Bessarabian Metropolis, where he will meet with Metropolitan Petru.
On October 20, Moldova will hold presidential elections and a referendum on joining the European Union.
