Rockets fired from Lebanon into central Israel - 1

The Israeli military said air raid sirens sounded over central Israel last night, after as about 5 rockets fired from Lebanon were identified, crossing the territory of the country, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

According to the military, some of the rockets were intercepted by Israeli air defenses, while the rest fell in uninhabited areas. No changes have been made to the instructions of Israel's internal command.

Later the Lebanese group "Hezbollah" issued a statement saying it had launched a missile operation targeting Israeli military intelligence near Tel Aviv.

"The launch of rockets (was carried out according to - note ed.) the base "Glilot" of the military intelligence unit 8200, located in the suburbs of Tel Aviv," the statement by Hezbollah said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed in a video message his country's determination to fight and expressed confidence in victory as he officially marked the anniversary of the deadly attack by "Hamas" in Israel on October 7, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

"Together we will continue to fight and together, with God's blessing, we will triumph," said the Israeli Prime Minister. The ceremony was held in Ofakim, near the Gaza Strip, where 40 people were killed a year ago.

Netanyahu stated that October 7, when the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" and other extremists killed about 1,200 people in Israel and took 250 hostages in the Gaza Strip, is a "day of indescribable suffering for the country". In his words, the Israelis have united in its defense.

"We have set military goals and we are achieving them," said the Israeli Prime Minister. He stated that these goals are to end the rule of "Hamas", to return all hostages home, to make impossible any future threat from the Gaza Strip and to ensure the safe return of the residents of the south and the north to their homes im.

However, after a year of hostilities with nearly 42,000 dead in the Gaza Strip and mounting international criticism of Israel's harsh measures in the coastal enclave and now in Lebanon, none of the war aims mentioned by Netanyahu, has not yet been fully achieved, DPA notes.

The Israeli military said air raid sirens were sounded in central Israel last night after several rockets were identified from Lebanon towards Israeli territory, Reuters reported.

The authorities in Berlin accused the protesters of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the city of increasingly using children and young people to incite the crowd, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

"At present, it is increasingly common to abuse minors and minors who shout slogans at demonstrations and incite people,” Berlin's local interior minister Iris Spranger told a committee of Berlin MPs dealing with with extremism and other security threats.

It is being "deliberately used as a tool by those who want to spread hatred and incitement”, she said.

Spranger acknowledged that images of Israel's military offensive in the Gaza Strip would upset people, but said demonstrators should not act out of hatred or incitement. She noted that some demonstrators are deliberately questioning the rule of law.

Children and teenagers should not attend demonstrations or similar events unaccompanied by adults, Spranger said, "let alone shout slogans. And that's exactly what's happening right now. And not only in Berlin, but also in other countries, we saw in Paris, we saw in London, that young people are abused again and again.

The head of Berlin's regional police directorate, Roman Seifert, said that on Friday, police again identified children at a demonstration "who were chanting slogans and provoking". According to him, an investigation has been launched against the parents on suspicion that they violated their duty to take care of them.
