One person died and four were injured after a train derailed in northern Norway, DPA quoted BTA as saying, citing a police statement.
At the time of the accident, 55 people were traveling in the train. The train derailed near the village of Fineidfjord.
Passengers who were unharmed were taken by bus to a temporarily opened shelter center nearby, head of rescue operations Bent Are Eilertsen told Norwegian news agency En Te Be.
Police believe that the train, which was traveling from Trondheim to Bodø, derailed due to a fallen rock. Part of the train slid down the slope for several meters and stopped right next to the E6 highway – the main road crossing Norway from north to south.
