During the debate the President of Moldova Maja Sandu failed to answer the question of the candidate Alexandra Stoyanoglo where she got information about the accusations of stealing 300,000 votes from her, which she made after the first round of the elections.

"On election night you said 300,000 votes were stolen. Police are talking about hundreds of cases. Where does this figure come from? Why not 200,000 or 400,000? What do you know and what are you silent about? – said Standing. He asked why she did not ask for the election to be counted. The president avoided an answer to this question by accusing Stoyanoglo of being “Moscow's candidate”. at the elections.

Sandu, who on the eve of the election was convinced that she would win in the first round, made an accusation that the leader of the bloc of opposition parties “Victory” Ilan Shor bought 300,000 votes. However, she did not provide any evidence. Meanwhile, Moldovan police reported several hundred violations during the election, and international observers noted that the authorities, contrary to the law, used an administrative resource in the election.

On October 20, presidential elections were held in Moldova. Based on the results of processing 100% of the protocols, the current president received 42.45% of the votes in the presidential election, the former chief prosecutor Stoyanoglo - 25.99%. Since no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, a runoff will be held on November 3. According to experts, Sandu received the votes of all voters from the right wing in the first round of the elections, and her opponent in the second round, Stojanoglo, can count on an increase in votes from that part of the electorate that is inclined to change.
